    Head/Art Mod

Hey y'all the name's Angel. I've been doing zines since 2019 and doing layouts since 2021. I'm also a marine biologist who makes graphics that bolsters my academic and artistic careers. Been wanting to do this project for a while now :3Favorite thing about Anasui: He sure is dangerous...dangerously corny.

    Writing Mod

Just some guy who likes old music and tormenting fictional characters :]
Writing Mod for The Wonderful World and Remember Summer Days, Head Mod for The Araki Horror Picture Show, and a contributor in 14 zines
Favorite thing about Anasui: He sucks so much and I love that in a man <3 Actually though, I think it’s interesting seeing a protagonist who does heroic things for ultimately selfish or misguided motives. His actions and role in the story contrast with the rest of Jolyne’s friends’, and it makes him pretty unique as a JoJo ally!

Just a little guy trying to be an adult and obsessed with JoJo
Co-head/Art/Finance mod for Mio Caro, Head/Graphics/Finance mod for Cup of JoJo, Organization mod for Dandelion: A Leone Abbbacchio Zine

I’ve been a Stone Ocean stan since I first read the manga in 2019, so I’m really excited to be working on this project!
I’ve helped with formatting and been a team lead on two separate college publications, and have previous experience as a layout and graphics mod for fanzines.
Favorite thing about Anasui: I really love his original fem design :’) <3

    Guidelines

    • The main zine (Day Dive) will be Anasui-centric and relatively "general". Other characters and ship implications will be allowed, but Anasui must be the main focus. Any depiction of Anasui is allowed.

    • Diver Down and Diver Down-centric content is allowed and encouraged.

    • The main SFW zine will have a content rating similar to canon: mature topics are permitted, but explicit sexual content and excessive gore will not. However, we will have separate NSFW/adult and gore side-zines for these types of content. Only the main SFW zine will be physically produced, alongside any similarly rated merchandise.

    • As such, we ask that all contributors for any part of the zine be 18 or older by the time contributor applications end (February 29th, 2024). Please understand that no exceptions will be made to this rule.

    • This zine will be accepting artists, writers, and cosplayers.

    • Artists and cosplayers may contribute to more than one zine, but may only contribute 2 pieces maximum per zine. One artist cannot take up more than 4 pages across all zines, including double spreads.

    • Cosplayers cannot submit to the adult content zine.

    • Writers are limited to one piece in the main SFW zine for the sake of space, but may write up to two pieces per side zine. Likewise, writers are limited to four fics across all zines.

    • Writers can only write one piece for the main zine, but may write up to two pieces for the side zines, maxing out at 3 total pieces. The word limit for writers is 2,500 words.

    • Page/piece size is A5, and both zines will be exported as such.

    • The use of AI generation is strictly forbidden. If you are caught generating your piece, you will be kicked from the project.

    • You do not have to participate in the main SFW zine if you are only interested in the NSFW and/or gore side zines.

    • The estimated number of contributors, merch types, zine dimensions, and zine distribution will be determined after interest checks, but overlap between zines is expected. However, a physical release of the main zine will have limited space.

    • Harassment or hate of any kind, within or outside the context of the zine, will not be tolerated. Please be respectful to those around you.

    • This zine will allow the following, but is not limited to:

    • Violence typical to or beyond what is portrayed in canon

    • Shots of internal organs/under the skin

    • Body horror and dismemberment

    • Explicit recreations of either of Anasui’s fatal blows

    SIDE ZINE GUIDELINES

    • We do not condone the purchase nor consumption of the side zines to individuals under the age of 18.

    • No depictions of minors are allowed in either side zines. This includes aging down characters to under 18 years old.

    • These zines are digital only, but may have digital merch if folks are interested. Physical merch is a possibility but not a guarantee.

    • The rule regarding Anasui-centric content is much more lenient in the side zines, but he should still be in focus. Ship content is allowed.

    • Anticipate for the side zines to have less content to the main zine. The number of total expected contributors for the side zine is unknown at this time.

    ADULT/EXPLICIT SEXUAL CONTENT
    (Night Dive)

    • This zine will allow the following:

    • Explicit nudity

    • Sex

    • Kink content

    • No noncon, aged-down, or feral NSFW content will be allowed in this zine, no exceptions. This also includes CNC, DDLG, and loli/shota.

    QnA

    Last updated March 14, 2024

    What is a fanzine?
A fanzine is a collaborative project organized by fans to commemorate a franchise, whether it covers an entire series or a single character. In the case of DIVE, it will primarily focus on Narciso Anasui and Diver Down.
    What does for-profit mean?
For-profit means that all sales after production will be split among contributors based on the zines they participated in. For example, if someone were to be a part of the main zine and one side zine, they would be compensated for their share in the main zine and side zine each. No financial contribution will be required on behalf of contributors. All contributors will receive access to the digital zine and at least a physical copy of the main zine for free. Contributors may choose to pay for additional merchandise.
Why is the main zine content more strict towards Anasui-centric content compared to the side zines?
We want to be able to keep the main SFW zine as Anasui-centric as possible. We understand that a lot of his characterization heavily revolves around other people, but we also don’t want to deter attention from him. We want to be able to highlight Anasui as much as possible due to being left behind in most Stone Ocean discussions and merchandise. Other characters and ship implications will be allowed, but should not be the main focus of every piece. This rule is only broken by Diver Down, who is a manifestation of Anasui and is very much encouraged.
In regards to the side zines, we understand that Anasui and/or Diver Down exclusive content is harder to make or isn’t everyone’s cup of tea in NSFW settings. Therefore, we will be much more lax about the inclusion of other characters and ships as long as Anasui is still in focus. We do ask for no depictions of minors in either zine.
What does “any version of Anasui is allowed” mean?
Anasui is known for their constantly changing appearance. Some people lean more towards his feminine first appearance, while others stick to the more masc-leaning design we know today. Furry? That’s allowed. The reset-verse Anakiss? By all means. Wanna turn back in time in canon and do a piece on her childhood? Go on ahead. In short, as long as it’s Anasui in some capacity, anything goes.
Why do moderators and contributors need to be 18 years or older to participate?
We require all contributors to be 18 or older due to the handling of money and the content of the side zines. Most payment processors require users to be 18 or above for legal reasons, so as a result, trying to handle money with minors involved can lead to many legal and technical bumps. Additionally, with the side zines containing NSFW content, the legal age of viewing is 18 in most countries, and would get dicey if we had underage contributors coming across said content. We won’t be requiring ID checks or the like for the sake of privacy, but if a contributor is found to be underage, they will be kicked from the project immediately.
    What are the zine specifications?
All zines will be produced at A5 (148 x 210 mm/5.8 x 8.3 in) at 300 dpi. Any pieces for the main zine will also require a 0.125-inch bleed all around (a template will be provided). Contributors doing the cover and double spreads may have slightly different specifications. The main zine will be printed in CMYK color mode, while the side zines will remain in RGB.
How many pieces can a contributor make?
All contributors are allowed up to four (4) pieces across all zines.
Artists and cosplayers are limited to two pieces per zine, taking up to 4 pages across all zines. However, they are limited to one (1) double spread per zine, as this will count for two pieces.
Writers are limited to one piece in the main SFW zine but may do up to two (2) pieces in the side zines. Writers are limited to 2000 words per piece.
The amount of work a merch artist can make depends on what they are making; one merch artist may be able to create a handful of small stickers or prints, but larger prints and pricier merch like acrylic charms or pins will be lesser in numbers.
When can contributors post their artwork?*
Contributors will be allowed to post previews of their work during the pre-orders in July. They may post their full pieces starting two weeks after pre-orders close/production begins. *This is still tentative
What kind of merch are you looking for in DIVE?
We are looking for a variety of merch with a quick production time (stickers, charms, buttons, pins, etc.). Items such as enamel pins or larger prints, and if we have a large merch artist base, will become stretch goal items due to their production cost and time. However, items with long production times, such as body pillows, plushes, and apparel, are not a possibility. The scope of this project is too small and too busy to produce these merch items.
What do the names of each zine mean? Is this still one project?
“Day Dive” refers to the SFW zine, whose content remains within the bounds of typical Jojo violence/mature content, often measured to PG-13/TV-14. Explicit nudity, sexual content, gore, and body horror are not allowed in Day Dive. This is to keep it as accessible to general audiences while allowing some wiggle room in content based on the nature of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.
“Night Dive” refers to the side zine containing NSFW content about explicit sexual content (pornography), nudity, and kink content. Cosplayers are not allowed to submit to this zine.
“Cave Dive” refers to the side containing NSFW content about explicit blood, gore, and body horror.
Across both side zines, no depictions of minors, noncon, or feral pornography will be allowed in the side zines; this also includes CNC, DDLG, and loli/shota content.
Overall, this is the same project; the side zines allow contributors to explore Anasui in other ways that may not fly under a PG-13 rating alone. The number of contributors for these side zines is also projected to be less than the main zine but may overlap.
The DIVE team does not condone the consumption of any side zine content by individuals under the age of 18.
Will the side zines be printed?
Unfortunately, due to their NSFW content, they will be digital only.
Will there be merch from the side zines?
Due to concerns with international shipping laws, all side zine merch will be digital. We are not slated to have a lot of side zine merch but regardless we will not be onboarding exclusively side zine merch artists.
Will contributors still own the work they used in DIVE?
All contributors will retain rights to their work during and after the project. What one wants to do with their work afterward is up to their discretion. We just ask that contributors not claim, generate, or physically produce work that isn’t theirs.
What is this zine's stance on AI generation?
We will not allow AI generation of any artwork, writing, or photography. Doing so will get you immediately booted from the project.
    Why is Cave Dive cancelled?
Due to low application numbers, it is not feasible to continue on with that side zine.
